Solution Architect Supply Chain & Production – SAP WM / PP / MM (m/f/d)

Location: Stolberg (Greater Area Aachen)

 

 

Your responsibilities:

 

  • Architectural Guidance & Consulting: Provide expert-level consulting and architectural guidance for SAP WM, PP and MM across the Group.
  • Requirements Engineering: Analyze complex business requirements across supply chain and production, translating them into robust, scalable, and standardized SAP solutions.
  • Customizing & Solution Design: Perform and oversee hands-on SAP configuration and customizing in WM, PP and MM, ensuring seamless alignment with operational workflows.
  • Process Optimization: Continuously evaluate and enhance end-to-end processes across procurement, warehousing, inventory management, material flow, and production planning.
  • Stakeholder & Partner Alignment: Collaborate closely with global business process owners, plant key users, internal IT teams, and external SAP implementation partners.
  • Technical Impact & Interface Management: Assess technical dependencies and design efficient interface architectures connecting SAP with non-SAP enterprise systems.
  • Projects & Enhancements: Lead or actively support SAP implementation initiatives, rollouts, system upgrades, user acceptance testing (UAT), and change requests.
  • Incident & Problem Resolution: Troubleshoot and resolve advanced functional and process-related SAP issues via the global ticketing system.
  • Documentation & Governance: Create, update, and govern functional specifications, business blueprints, user manuals, and process documentation.

 

 

Your profile:

 

  • Education: University degree (Master's or Bachelor's) in Business Informatics, Computer Science, Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or an equivalent technical/business qualification.
  • Experience: 7–10 years of in-depth, hands-on professional SAP experience with proven expertise in customizing and end-to-end process design.
  • Module Expertise: Deep functional and configuration knowledge of SAP WM and SAP PP, paired with a solid working command of SAP MM.
  • Domain Knowledge: Comprehensive understanding of global Supply Chain Management, manufacturing execution, logistics, inventory valuation, and P2P workflows.
  • Systems & Integration: Strong grasp of SAP integration scenarios, data models, enterprise landscapes, and third-party system interface technologies.
  • Analytical Mindset: Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to structure complex technical dependencies and articulate their business impact clearly.
  • Soft Skills: Business-oriented mindset with strong stakeholder management capabilities; proactive, structured, and comfortable taking full ownership from blueprint to rollout.
  • Languages: Business-fluent proficiency in English (written and spoken) is required; German language skills are considered an asset.
