Tax Specialist (m/f/d)
Location: Stolberg (Greater Area Aachen)
Your responsibilities:
- Operational VAT Management: You will handle and assess ongoing business transactions domestically and internationally, contributing significantly to the preparation and review of VAT advance notifications, annual returns, and EC Sales Lists (ZM).
- Tax Advisory: You will support the VAT assessment of complex supply chains, including chain transactions, and work deliveries in an international context.
- Tax Compliance & Processes: You will assist in building our VAT CMS, manage VAT ID validation, and optimize internal control mechanisms within our ERP systems (specifically SAP).
- Interface Management: You will work closely with our Shared Service Center in the Czech Republic as well as our Accounting, Sales, Logistics, and IT departments.
- Expanding Horizons: Beyond VAT, you will gradually take on responsibilities in other tax areas (e.g., wage tax), support tax audits, and contribute to digital tax transformation projects.
Your profile:
- Education: A degree in Business Administration, Finance, Law, or a tax-specific vocational qualification with additional professional certification.
- Experience: 3-4 years of relevant experience in the field of VAT, gained within an industrial/commercial company or a tax/audit firm.
- Expertise: Sound knowledge of German and EU VAT law. Initial experience with tax processes and internal controls (Tax CMS) is a strong advantage.
- IT & Numeracy: Proficiency in ERP systems (ideally SAP) and a strong affinity for numbers and data.
- Communication: Fluent in English (written and spoken) for our international business environment; a clear and pragmatic communication style is essential.
- Personality: You work in a structured and diligent manner, possess a high willingness to learn, and are motivated to take on increasing responsibility over time.
